Solution to the failure of vacuum pressure switch seal

The solution to the seal failure of vacuum pressure switches can be approached from aspects such as the inspection and replacement of seals, the handling of fastening components, the repair of shell defects, the maintenance of valve diaphragms, cleaning and upkeep, as well as operation norms. The following is a specific analysis:

Inspection and replacement of seals

Check the sealing condition: Carefully inspect all the sealing parts of the vacuum pressure switch, such as sealing rings and rubber cups, to see if there is any aging, damage, deformation, etc. For instance, rubber sealing rings may harden and crack due to oxidation after long-term use, leading to seal failure.

Replace the seals: Once any problem with the seals is found, new and reliable ones should be replaced in a timely manner. When choosing seals, it is necessary to ensure that their materials and specifications match the requirements of the switch to guarantee good sealing performance.

Treatment of fastening components

Check the fastening bolts: Inspect whether the fastening bolts between the upper and lower shells are loose. If the bolts are loose, it will cause uneven sealing pressure between the shells, thereby leading to air leakage.

Tighten or replace bolts: For loose bolts, appropriate tools should be used to tighten them. If the bolts are damaged or fail to provide sufficient fastening force, new bolts need to be replaced.

Repair of shell defects

Inspect the surface of the shell: Apply laundry detergent water to the connection points of the shell and observe if there are any bubbles to determine if there are any defects in the shell, such as sand holes or cracks.

Repairing defects: For minor defects, metal repair agents can be used for repair. Before making the repair, the surface of the shell should be cleaned thoroughly to ensure that the repair agent can adhere firmly. If the defect is significant, it may be necessary to consider replacing the shell.

Maintenance of the valve diaphragm

Check the valve diaphragm: Inspect whether the valve diaphragm is aged. Aging will cause the diaphragm to lose its elasticity and fail to seal normally, resulting in air leakage from the adjusting screw.

Replace the valve diaphragm: If it is found that the valve diaphragm is aged, a new diaphragm should be replaced in time to ensure the normal sealing performance of the switch.

Cleaning and maintenance

Clean dirt and impurities: Regularly clean the vacuum pressure switch to remove surface dust, oil stains and other impurities. These dirt may enter the sealing area and affect the sealing effect.

Prevent impurities from entering: During installation and use, it is necessary to keep all interfaces and sealing parts of the switch clean to prevent dirt and impurities from entering and causing poor sealing.

Standard operation

Avoid improper operation: When installing and using vacuum pressure switches, follow the operating procedures to prevent damage to the sealing parts due to improper operation. For example, when installing, make sure the seals are installed in place. Do not tighten the bolts too hard to avoid damaging the seals.
