Determining the adjustment method of a vacuum pressure switch requires a comprehensive consideration of multiple factors such as the type of switch, precision requirements, operational convenience, environmental factors, and cost budget. The following is an introduction for you:

Clarify the type of switch

Mechanical vacuum pressure switch: It usually adopts a mechanical structure to set the pressure threshold, and the adjustment method is relatively intuitive. The common type is the knob adjustment type. By rotating the knob on the switch housing, the preload force of the internal spring or the displacement of the diaphragm can be changed, thereby adjusting the operating pressure of the switch. For instance, in some simple vacuum equipment, the operator can directly rotate the knob by hand and adjust the switch to the required pressure value according to the pressure scale marked on the equipment.

Electronic vacuum pressure switch: More diverse and precise adjustment methods. Some products are equipped with key or touchscreen operation interfaces. Users can set the upper and lower pressure limits by inputting keys or touching the touchscreen. Some electronic switches also support connection to the upper computer through communication interfaces (such as RS485, Modbus, etc.), and can be remotely adjusted and parameter set using dedicated software. This approach is suitable for industrial scenarios with high requirements for automation.

Consider the accuracy requirements

High-precision regulation requirements: If the application scenario has high precision requirements for pressure control, such as in semiconductor manufacturing, precision instrument inspection and other fields, a vacuum pressure switch with fine-tuning function should be selected. For instance, some electronic vacuum pressure switches adopt high-precision sensors and digital regulation technology, capable of achieving ±0.1%FS (full scale) or even higher precision regulation. Operators can precisely adjust the pressure value through software or touch screens to ensure the accuracy of the switch's operating pressure.

General precision adjustment requirements: In some situations where the precision requirements are not particularly high, such as general vacuum packaging equipment and small vacuum pumps, mechanical vacuum pressure switches or electronic switches with relatively lower precision can meet the needs. Its adjustment method is relatively simple. You can roughly set the pressure through a knob or a button.

Evaluate the convenience of operation

Convenience of on-site operation: If the switch needs to be adjusted on-site frequently, a simple and intuitive adjustment method should be chosen. The vacuum pressure switch with mechanical knob adjustment is easy to operate. Without the need for other tools or equipment, the operator can quickly complete the pressure adjustment. Although some electronic switches are powerful, if their operation interfaces are complex and require professional training to master, it may affect the efficiency of on-site operations.

Remote regulation requirements: In some large industrial systems, vacuum pressure switches may be installed in locations that are difficult to reach directly, or centralized management and control are required. At this point, an electronic vacuum pressure switch with remote adjustment function is more suitable. Through the communication network, operators can remotely set and adjust the parameters of multiple switches in the control room, which greatly improves the convenience and efficiency of operation.

Combine environmental factors

Adaptability to harsh environments: If the application environment has harsh conditions such as high temperature, high humidity, strong vibration, and corrosive gases, a vacuum pressure switch with stable and reliable regulation methods and a high protection level should be selected. Mechanical switches have relatively good stability in harsh environments, but it is necessary to pay attention to choosing products with good protective performance. For electronic switches, the anti-interference ability of their electronic components and protective measures need to be taken into account to ensure that the regulation function is normal in harsh environments.

Space limitation: In installation locations with limited space, switches with compact adjustment methods and not taking up too much space should be selected. Some miniaturized electronic vacuum pressure switches adopt an integrated design of touch screens or buttons. The adjusting components are small in size and suitable for installation and operation in a limited space.

Consider the cost budget

Low-cost solution: Mechanical vacuum pressure switches are usually relatively inexpensive and have a simple adjustment method. They are suitable for application scenarios that are sensitive to cost, such as some small vacuum equipment or situations where pressure control requirements are not high.

High-cost high-performance solution: Electronic vacuum pressure switches have the advantages of high precision, multi-functionality, and remote adjustment, but their prices are relatively high. If the application scenario has high requirements for the accuracy, stability and degree of automation of pressure control and the budget allows, choosing an electronic switch can provide better performance and functions.
