Selection of the working temperature for vacuum pressure switches

When choosing a vacuum pressure switch, the working temperature is one of the key parameters and needs to be determined based on the temperature conditions of the actual application scenario. The following analysis is conducted from two aspects: the demand scenarios and selection points of different working temperature ranges:

Demand scenarios within different operating temperature ranges

Low-temperature environment: In cold regions or low-temperature application scenarios, such as refrigeration equipment and cold storage, vacuum pressure switches need to have a relatively low minimum operating temperature. For instance, the minimum operating temperature of some vacuum pressure switches can reach -40℃ or even lower to ensure normal operation in low-temperature environments.

High-temperature environment: In high-temperature industrial production processes, such as metallurgy and chemical industries, the operation of equipment generates a large amount of heat, causing the ambient temperature to rise. At this point, the vacuum pressure switch needs to have a relatively high maximum operating temperature. The maximum operating temperature of some vacuum pressure switches can reach 130℃ or higher to meet the demands of high-temperature environments.

Select key points

Clarify the temperature range of the application scenario: Before choosing a vacuum pressure switch, it is necessary to accurately understand the minimum and maximum operating temperatures of the application scenario. For instance, if the temperature range of the application scenario is from -20℃ to 80℃, a vacuum pressure switch that can operate normally within this temperature range should be selected.

Consider the impact of temperature on the performance of switches: High temperature may accelerate the aging of internal components of the switch and reduce the accuracy of sensors, while low temperature may reduce the sensitivity of the switch and slow down the response speed. Therefore, it is necessary to select a vacuum pressure switch with good temperature stability to ensure that it can accurately measure and control pressure at different temperatures.

Pay attention to the protection level of the switch: In environments with high temperatures, high humidity or corrosive gases, vacuum pressure switches with higher protection levels should be selected to prevent damage to the switch from the external environment. For instance, switches with a protection grade of IP65 or IP66 can effectively prevent the intrusion of dust and water.
